Danny Macaskill goes to the gym
This is the most innovative bike clip I've seen in quite a while.
Remember when we would just put our bikes in weird positions, and think, could we ride it like that? Back in the 80's when BMX freestyle was a weird, new, tiny activity, and we thought we were inventing brand new things that no one had ever done on a bike? In some cases, others had done similar tricks many years before. In other cases, we were inventing brand new moves and tricks.
When us old dinosaurs look back on those days, we miss that innovative aspect, the "free" part of freestyle that drew so many of us fucked up, weird, but highly creative, kids into this world.
In this video, Danny Macaskill gets that level of creativity back into bike riding, along with his amazing physical skills to actually pull all this stuff off. Even better, it's done with Red Bull money, which means it's shot and edited with high quality video, great lighting, and excellent editing. I honestly wish Red Bull made something I like to drink, because the videos they put out always rock, and their name means quality content, in a world when most content isn't quality, at some level.
Enjoy.
